Get To Know The Teacher
Wildwood Nature Academy is an experiential outdoor learning academy where we learn outside!

EXPERIENTIAL
Students are immersed in the material because they will learn better when they learn by doing rather than just listening to instruction.

OUTDOOR
Learning outdoors increases students’ physical, mental, and social health while decreasing stress levels of students and teachers.

LEARNING
Engaging students in the learning process increases their attention and focus while building critical thinking skills.

Schedule & Details
We offer a wide variety of classes and experiences!

Outdoor Preschool
MOMMY & ME, AGES 2-4
Located in various outdoor classrooms in Paulding County, we learn math, science, and pre-reading, practice fine and gross motor skills, balance, imaginative play, and sensory experiences.

Wild Kindergarten
AGES 5-6
Our kindergarten is based on the Wild curriculum series. We practice science, reading, and math while exploring outdoors. Nature themes woven into academic subjects gives us nature math, natural art, and much more!

Big Academy Day
AGES 5-18
Our full-day academy sessions meet on Thursdays. Each six-week session has a theme (like Ancient Rome, Oregon Trail, or Vikings), and we teach everything true to the topic's time period using the Charlotte Mason method.

Homeschool Field Trips
ALL AGES (USUALLY)
Our field trips are generally open to all age groups (though there are sometimes exceptions). Trips are always educational and typically have a natural focus. Follow us on Facebook to see our field trips.

Platform Guidelines

When using our site, there are a few things to keep in mind that can help you find a great teacher. When you find a teacher that you think might work, don’t forget to do your homework before agreeing to anything!

Ask Around

Has anyone you know used the teacher before? Sometimes a warm referral can be a great way to make a connection!

Ask For References

Don’t be afraid to ask the teacher for references. A phone call or email to someone can help you verify information

Background Checks

There are several resources available for a very low cost to do some research in advance of deciding if a teacher is right for you or your child.

Meet In Person

Meeting over coffee or lunch can be a great way to get to know a teacher before any work is to be done
