Get To Know The Teacher
The Lab School of Memphis cultivates community in a mixed-age, learner-driven environment that centers and affirms learner identity, strengths and interests.

With the foundation of Montessori principles and the belief that every child is a genius with the potential to change the world, The Lab School uses inquiry-based teaching methods, online learning platforms, and hands-on projects that allow children to master subjects and concepts themselves, on their own timeline.

We are guided by the belief that education is a tool to fuel and support our community. Our community partners and guest guides are instrumental in creating a rigorous and individualized learning environment that centers and affirms learner identity, strengths, and interests.

As members of our learning community, it is our goal that children:

  • Know themselves

  • Can see their own potential

  • Are equipped to live meaningful, fulfilled lives of their choosing
