Former public school teacher turned homeschool mom. Teaching reading is my passion!

Get To Know The Teacher
I am certified in grades 1-8, but I especially love teaching younger students.  I was teaching first grade when my son was born.  I have been trained in Wilson Reading, but you will find that I use whatever means necessary to teach your child to read, including (but not limited to) Jan Richardson’s guided reading, Science of Reading, Wilson Reading.  I have a lot of tools in my educational tool belt to help students become confident readers.  I love to have fun with students and I include games, poetry, and songs in my efforts to teach reading.    I would love to set up a time to do a free assessment to see how I can help you and your child become a better reader.  I also love teaching Bible and Christian Worldview.  My father was a minister.  I have taught Sunday School and Junior Church at my church for many years.  I also spent a year in the country of Romania as a missionary.
Schedule & Details
My schedule is fairly flexible.  Call me and I will try to schedule a time that will work best for you.

Background Checks

There are several resources available for a very low cost to do some research in advance of deciding if a teacher is right for you or your child.
