Get To Know The Teacher
Backpacking, Camping, Climbing, Hiking, Outdoor Abilities

Growing up I had constant exposure to all things outside due to my father’s love and passion for it. Throughout grade school I recognized many other kids did not have those same opportunities though they had the interest. My passion grew to a point that I have worked in various camps leading children and adults in outdoor activities from hiking/camping, climbing and backpacking. In 2014 I was able to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail – a dream of mine beginning at age 10. Not long after, I found myself as a backpacking guide in the Smoky Mountains National Park for 2 years. However, Chattanooga had already become home to me and I decided to focus more on being present in this city. Yet, my passion for the outdoors and getting others outside has not hindered, thus KeenAdventures is how I hope to contribute.

My company offers 6-week programs, meeting once a week, to build comfort and confidence in children’s outdoor abilities. The curriculum is laid out to allow for instruction and hands-on activity both individually and in groups. Following program completion, if families of students would like to implement these new skills and adventures together, I offer guided, or hosted, campouts to assist and provide a family fun adventure to remember.
