Mentoring Young Science Students

Get To Know The Teacher
At Core Academy of Science we seek to help mentor the next generation of faithful scientists. We encourage students to ask the hard questions.

Our founder and president, Dr. Todd Wood, was featured in the movie Is Genesis History?  and has mentored several students in research. We also connect students with other researchers and provide scholarships to complete that research.

We will speak with your homeschool group virtually or in person depending on location.

Dr. Wood is also an expert on the History of Science and the Scopes Trial.

We provide fossil tours of our local parks as well as historical tours of Dayton.

We also provide short courses for a fee on topics such as the Scopes Trial, Darwin, and Baraminology.
Schedule & Details
We are available Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00

Platform Guidelines

When using our site, there are a few things to keep in mind that can help you find a great teacher. When you find a teacher that you think might work, don’t forget to do your homework before agreeing to anything!

Ask Around

Has anyone you know used the teacher before? Sometimes a warm referral can be a great way to make a connection!

Ask For References

Don’t be afraid to ask the teacher for references. A phone call or email to someone can help you verify information

Background Checks

There are several resources available for a very low cost to do some research in advance of deciding if a teacher is right for you or your child.

Meet In Person

Meeting over coffee or lunch can be a great way to get to know a teacher before any work is to be done
