Private School Education With Homeschool Flexibility

Get To Know The Teacher
At Anchor Academy we believe that building relationships with children is one of the strongest building blocks in the process of learning.

When children are comfortable in their environment and with adults they trust, learning becomes easy and fun.

It is our goal to build a relationship of love and trust with your children and with you. Our hope is not only that our children will love learning but learn what they love!

Schedule & Details
We are a 2 day a week OR 4 day a week homeschool tutorial taught by certified educators located in the heart of Lebanon.

We will teach Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies from 9:15 am – 1:15 pm, Mondays – Thursdays. We will use the Tennessee State Standards as a guardrail for our curriculum, but embed Montessori philosophies throughout our instruction. Fridays are a work from home day, however parents will not be required to plan or write their own curriculum for Fridays. Anchor Academy will send home optional work for each Friday for students to complete.

Due to the Montessori philosophy that will be embedded throughout our curriculum we will loop our students. The grade level breakdown is below –

PreK – 1st grade
2nd grade – 3rd grade
4th grade – 5th grade
6th grade – 8th grade
9th grade – 12th grade
There will be a certified teacher for each grade band group and our class sizes will remain at fifteen maximum. This will allow us to teach students where they are in their individual learning.

Has anyone you know used the teacher before? Sometimes a warm referral can be a great way to make a connection!

Ask For References

Don’t be afraid to ask the teacher for references. A phone call or email to someone can help you verify information

Background Checks

There are several resources available for a very low cost to do some research in advance of deciding if a teacher is right for you or your child.

Meet In Person

Meeting over coffee or lunch can be a great way to get to know a teacher before any work is to be done
